Modern Aesthetics from Kant to the Present

prof. Dr. phil. Jakub Mácha, Ph.D.

Jakub Mácha studied computer science, philosophy and art history at the universities of Brno and Hannover. He is interested in the theory of poetic language in the analytical and continental tradition, the theory of exemplarity. He also focuses on the works of I. Kant, G. W. F. Hegel and L. Wittgenstein, emphasising their contribution to aesthetics. More recently, he has also been exploring the implications of the development of artificial intelligence for aesthetics.
